Most of these recipes are 100% alkaline as my 25% acidic comes from having oatmeal between breakfast and lunch or brown rice added to my lunch (any lunch dish below). I recommend salads or veggie juices for dinner (easy for the body to digest and deal with).
Some recipes are raw vegan, some are cooked vegan. In this diet I cooked 1 out of 3 meals and sometimes I had an all raw day (especially if it was a very hot day or I just felt like it).
Cooked (not over cooked) plant based meals are still alkaline!
Over cooked and baked plant based meals create low acidity.
Drink filtered water, squeeze some lemon in it in order to create an alkaline drink!
Drink 2 fresh squeezed vegetable juices a day and 1 green smoothie! Just that will be a great beginning towards health!
On the bottom of the page you will find some great inspirational books and links with Alkaline recipes!
GREEN JUICE!
This is the most important and extremely alkaline meal of the day! For the juice we can use all types of organic greens (kale, swiss chard, collard greens, parsley, cilantro, lettuce, dandelion, red beet leaves, etc). We can add carrots, apple*, and if we do not like the taste, we can add lemon. We must drink it within 10 minutes before the enzymes oxidase. This juice will contain huge amounts of nutrients, needed for our health!
I recommend a press juicer (or any non blender) as to achieve the highest juice quality. I personally recommend Omega 8005 juicer.
*apples are the only fruit (besides lemons) that can be used with vegetables!
Raw Vegan Chocolate Strawberry Cake! My Fav!
Main Base: mix walnuts or pecans and dates in a food processor. When done add raw cacao powder, a spoon of coconut oil, vanilla extract (no alchocol). When all is mixed together it will be pretty thick. I did not add any sweetener as dates are already pretty sweet.
Upper Part: I took a small part of the base and added a few spoons of raw almond butter. I added more coconut oil, a bit more raw cocoa powder and mixed it into a thick base. Then I sliced strawberries into small pieces and mixed some of the chocolate butter into it.
I put the cake in fridge for a day as the flavors are allowed to blend. The cake is pretty rich and perfect for chocoholics.
Raw Vegan Bread! It is very easy to make.
I soaked golden flax seeds and sunflower seeds in destilled water for 2 hours. Then I mixed them in a food processor with a carrot, sea salt, sundried tomato or spinach and onion or garlic. I added some dill and oregano. When the base looked smooth enough I spread it on a sheet in a dehydrator and let it dehydrate for 15 hours.
If we do not have a dehydrator we can use oven and bake it on a low temperature until water evaporates. It will not be raw anymore as the oven heat is too strong, but it will be far healthier than breads from the store.
These breads are excellent for guacamole with tomato and sprouts or hummus sandwich etc
Raw vegan stuffed bell pepper without citruses! For days when I could not have any citrus at all.
I mixed: avocado, small sliced onion, cucumber, grated carrot, sprouted sunflower seeds, sprouted pumpkin seeds, sprouted flax seed, Himalayan salt.
One of my favorites for a hot day. We can truly use whatever ingredient we like. This type of "taco" is very easy to experiment with.
"Nut meat": I soaked Brazil nuts in distilled water for at least 8 hours. In food processor I mixed them with sun dried tomatoes, oregano, dill, garlic powder. We can add some water if it gets too thick.
Mango Salsa: we soak tomatoes, mango slices, onion, lemon juice, cilantro in water for a day.
Wrap: we use any soft salad leaf, and place nut meat, mango salsa, avocado and purple cabbage on it and wrap it.
Same salad as above, only having added baked potatoes (baked with garlic powder and dill. No salt nor pepper). This is a more filling combination. |
100% alkaline dessert! Raw vegan! Soak almonds in water (filtered) in fridge for 24hrs. Shred them in a food processor until as smooth as they can get (they are never 100% smooth). Add a bit of filtered water or coconut water (just a bit), coconut oil, agave nectar, vanilla extract and a banana. Spread the mixture in a bowl. In a food processor mix dates with shredded almonds and a bit of banana. Put that mixture on top. Make sure it is a bit crunchy, not all the way smooth. Put your cake in fridge over night so that the flavor can be soaked in well. It will be amazing the next day and you can eat as much of it as you can! |
Another look for the cake as it can often come out a bit different depending on the details. |
100% alkaline dessert! Raw vegan! Yummy - mix dates (food processor or use fork and knife) with shredded almonds. Make balls and dip them in more shredded almonds. In hot weather you can keep them in freezer - they will not freeze, but the outside will be a bit harder and the inside soft. Very refreshing as well |
Cook potatoes until very soft and then mix them in a bowl with olive oil and garlic powder. At the same time you cut 2 potatoes in a half and bake them. When done, carve out the middle and add it to the mix in a bowl. Add sauteed leeks, mix well and stuff the carved potatoes with the mix. Bake on 375-400F until golden. We slice zucchini as thin as we want. The spread is: avocado, himalayan salt, small shreds of purple cabbage, sun dried tomatoes, grated carrots (I added mine on the side), raw hemp seed. It is a very simple and delicious appetizer. |
Cooked potatoes mixed in a bowl with steamed carrot and sauteed leek with added organic garlic powder. Sauteing spinach in coconut oil with basil and yellow squash with added steamed string beans. Coconut adds a nice sweet flavor. Steamed bok choy on the side (you can also dip it -after steaming- in a sauce made of (fermented) Tamari and almond butter) |
Baked potatoes, steamed kohlrabi, steamed carrots. On coconut oil saute onion, tomato, zucchini, yellow squash, add garlic powder and basil. Neutral, simple and all alkaline dish. |
I recommend Raw Vegan cook books where you will find some of the best tasting desserts (and very very healthy too), great bread choices, soups, salads, burritos, etc All of those foods are highly alkalizing and extremely delicious!
